Obviously whoever designed these things doesn’t have an Aga as the hooks are on the top which means when they are placed on the hob covers, the pattern is upside down! Annoying to have to use them without the convenience of being able to hook them on properly.

I’ve had several AGAs over the years. My first was a solid fuel model that provided hot water and heating for several radiators as well as being a great range to cook on. This was followed by two gas-fired models both of which have been a dream to cook on. For some inexplicable reason I have never used cooker pads until recently. As an eighty-year old who has used AGAs for more than fifty years i cannot offer any sensible reason or excuse for this. My Road to Damascus conversion came as a result of my ordering some William Morris print curtains from Dunelm. The fabric chosen was Strawberry Thief, and I saw that they had Cooker pads with the same design available. The rest, as they say, is history. My only regret is that I didn’t use them before. They are very handy for the busy cook to have.

Great match with my Aga! I bought the oven gloves, oven mits and pot grab too! Now all beautifully coordinated with my hard working Aga!
